Meet the team

Jennifer Stacy

A Masters graduate of Speech Language Pathology, I have recently completed a board certification in Lifestyle Medicine with Australasian Lifestyle Medicine to support my holistic approach to patient care. Patient-centred and with strong clinical skills, I retrained at the age of 26 from the corporate industry to re-align my career with my values – the importance of family and community, strength in communication, and empathy with and care for others. I always apply myself with integrity, transparency and accountability. I have role-modelled my values through my approach to running private practice since 2014, with a core element of community-based therapy. Developed whilst an employee at numerous rehabilitation facilities, my clinical experience is focused on neurological rehabilitation, palliative care, dysphagia and quality of life strategies. I bring a smile to work each day and am highly motivated to continue my professional development to ensure my services incorporate the most up to date evidence based practices.

Outside of being a speech pathologist, much of my leisure time is spent parenting three small children under 9 years old, and a 1-year-old springer spaniel.  When I can find the time, I also enjoy spending time in the kitchen and working on my newly-found love of mountain running.

Emily Jenkins

Emily is a Speech Pathologist with great interest in working with individuals to find joy in connection with others through communication. Emily completed her Masters degree in Speech Pathology at Charles Sturt University after making the decision to focus her career on helping others, fuelled by her lifelong passion and interest in language. Emily previously worked across radio, television, and print media in New South Wales before making the move down to beautiful Tasmania.

Emily’s Masters degree research looked into treatment for acquired stuttering, the findings from which were presented at the Speech Pathology Australia conference. This continues to be an area of specific interest for Emily, alongside intervention for voice, motor speech, and language disorders in the adult population.

When she is not in the clinic, Emily likes to spend her time hiking, doing yoga, or at the beach with her border collie.
